Trifecta Gala hosts final celebration after nearly 25 years | Kentucky Derby 150

This year's entertainment will be 14x Grammy-award winning musician Bruno Mars.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Derby draws is expected to draw in well over 100,000 people for its historic 150th celebration. 

With the milestone, Trifecta Gala is making its grand return. 

It will be held on Derby Eve on Main Street in downtown Louisville near Slugger Field. The event is from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.  

"The Trifecta will spin the soul of the Derby into an unforgettable party that pays homage to the invaluable contributions of African Americans to Derby history with a reverence for the past, and a vision for the future," according to the gala's website

This year's entertainment will be 14x Grammy-award winning musician Bruno Mars.  

This will be the last year the Bridgeman family will be hosting the gala after nearly 25 years. 

According to the gala's website, the family is led by Ulysses "Junior" Bridgeman, a retired NBA guard and entrepreneur. His children Justin, Ryan and Eden followed him into the family business and hold key leadership roles across the various business enterprises throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The gala is sponsored by Woodford Reserve, The Kenny Burns Show, Ebony Jet, Coca-Cola Consolidated and Churchill Downs. 

This year's charitable partner is Big Brothers Big Sisters.
