15-year-old identified as victim in Smoketown shooting

The Jefferson County Coroner's office said Ter-Vonia Moore died on Wednesday from her injuries. LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Police are investigating a shooting in the Smoketown neighborhood killed one young teen and injured another.

The department confirmed the two females were found with gunshot wounds around 9 p.m. July 2 on South Jackson Street and Roselane Court.

Both victims were taken to UofL Hospital. One of them is in critical condition while the other has non-life threatening injuries.

On July 9, the Jefferson County Coroner's office said 15-year-old Ter-Vonia Moore died on Wednesday from her injuries.

The Homicide Unit is investigating.
