LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An arrest has been made following a deadly stabbing in the California neighborhood.
Elvis Anderson, 58, has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of second-degree assault.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a reported stabbing at a residence in the 2200 block of Garland Avenue around 11 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found three victims suffering from large lacerations caused by a machete.
Two victims, both women, were taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The third victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the man as 30-year-old Davon Banks.
According to Anderson's arrest citation, Anderson walked up to the residence with a wooden stick and approached the victims. During the altercation that ensued, police say Anderson then picked up a machete from the deceased man and struck all three victims.
The citation says Anderson confessed to police during an interview to killing the man and striking the two women.

Anderson is expected to be in court Monday morning for his arriangment.
