Kroger breaks ground on new 100,000 square-foot store in Oldham County

The 100,000 square-foot store will provide 300 new jobs to the Buckner area.

OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. — A new Kroger store is coming to Oldham County next year.

Kroger announced in a press release that the nation-wide grocery chain would break ground on a new store in Buckner, Ky. on May 18, 2022.

The 100,000 square foot store is expected to open in the fall of 2023. Kroger said the store will provide 300 new jobs to the area.

According to the release, Kroger said the new location will also feature the first Kroger Fuel Center in the area with a walk in kiosk and 20 fuel pumps.

Kroger's Louisville Division operates 115 retail food stores across Kentuckiana and Southern Illinois.
