Coroner ID's man killed in Friday shooting

The coroner says 50-year-old Jacob Erwin died after being shot multiple times in the 4100 block of West Broadway.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man who was killed Friday in a shooting in the Shawnee neighborhood has been identified.

The Jefferson County Coroner said 50-year-old Jacob Erwin was found shot multiple times in the 4100 block of West Broadway around 7:15 p.m.

Erwin’s body was found by officers inside a building and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released any other details in this incident.

The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating.
