LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after being struck by a vehicle near Iroquois Park
Metro Police Third Division officers responded to the 5200 block of New Cut Road near West Kenwood Drive around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Police said the man was beyond help and pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner identified the man as 30-year-old Matthew Egger of Louisville.
According to their preliminary investigation, police said Egger was wearing dark-colored clothing and was possibly crossing in the middle of New Cut Road when the incident happened.
The driver of the vehicle did remain at the scene and no charges are expected.
