As cases climb across the country, our FOCUS team is keeping a close eye on the trends here at home.

The graph above shows the new case trend in Indiana, each bar showing the number of new cases daily.

While that dotted trend line is still slowly declining as it slopes to the right, you'll notice a small surge in new cases this week on June 17 with nearly 559 cases in 24 hours.

The total cases since the start at 41,746 with about 11% of those tested positive, as of June 18.

Since the start, 2,327 Hoosiers have died from the virus.

In Kentucky, you can see the dotted trend line is more of a wave.

Following that line to the right, you'll notice mid-May the line starts to dip down but by the end of May daily new cases trending up and continuing at that level. That shows the spread of the virus is not slowing.

Total cases in Kentucky rise to 13,454 Kentuckians with about 4% of the total testing positive for the virus. Two more deaths announced Friday to bring the death toll to 522.

Quick reminder, due to reporting delays this is not a reflection of what is happening in real-time.
