LOUISVILLE, Ky. — CookieCon 2020 has arrived in the Derby City. The convention brings veteran decorators and budding artists from around the globe to display their cookie art, learn the essentials in cookie cuisine and network within the cookie decorating world.

The convention claims to be the largest gathering of cookie artists or better known as 'cookiers' in the world. The Galt House Hotel is the venue for the convention which runs through Friday and Saturday.

Veteran and novice cookiers can hone their skills through classes on the art as well as set up booths to sell their products to the general public.

The icing on the cake or cookie, in this case, is the 'Sugar Show' where all CookieCon attendees can enter to face off in a decoration competition. Categories include Home Sweet Home, All in a Day's Work, Anything Goes, Mystery Shape and of course, Derby Hats where cookiers create and decorate Derby hats made completely out of cookies.

CookieCon 2020 attendee tickets cost $369, while a shopper pass for the event costs $15. However, the shopper pass for the general public is sold out.

Although, CookieCon 2020 is sold out, current or future cookiers can pre-heat any ideas in preparation for CookieCon 2021.
