LOUISVILLE, Ky. — MT. WASHINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11) – A man is behind bars and is facing charges after police seized $23,000 and 2-pounds of marijuana in a Thanksgiving drug bust.
Mt. Washington Police say the initially received a tip that a person was stealing gas from local stations.
That suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Deivis Franco, was located and allegedly found with fraudulent credit cards and cocaine.
The incident led police to serve a search warrant on a residence in Louisville where they recovered two pounds of marijuana and $23,000 in cash.
Franco’s car, believed to have been used in the incidents, was also seized.
Franco is facing numerous charges including buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a controlled substance and fraudulent use of credit card.
He’s being held at the Bullitt County Detention Center without bond.
