Louisville airport receives $12 million grant for improvements

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) --The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is getting some help for several upgrades.

The FAA has awarded the airport authority a more than $12 million grant for improvements.

The airport plans to use the money for several projects including rehabbing taxi-ways and lighting systems.

The improvements will make the airfield safer, especially during low-visibility conditions.
