LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Its been a staple in the Schnitzelberg neighborhood for more than a century but soon, Hauck’s Handy Store will have a new owner.
Developer Tim Mulloy told WHAS11 News he has the building in addition to 5 other properties on Goss Avenue under contract.
The store had been in the Hauck family for more than 100 years before the current owners put it up for sale.
It’s best known for being home to the annual Dainty contest.
This year’s competition is expected to be held in late July.
