OMAHA, Neb — One Louisville baseball player's mother is asking the public's help in finding her son's jersey stolen during the Cards' trip to the 2019 College World Series.

Lori Elliott tweeted that her family's car was broken into while they were in Omaha. Stolen in the break-in was pitcher Adam Elliott's jersey with a 2017 College World Series patch

"The only thing that I really care about was this jersey," Elliott tweeted. "It’s a long shot but it has the 2017 CWS patch on it so maybe they will try to sell it."

The memento marks not only the first College World Series the junior went to with Louisville, but an eye-catching error in the spelling of his last name. The nameplate on the jersey says "Elliot," missing a second "t."

Elliott said she and her family are willing to buy it back if someone were to come across it. If found, contact her on Twitter.

Elliott previously played at St. Xavier High School. Most recently, he pitched two scoreless innings in the Cards' 5-3 elimination game win over Auburn in this year's College World Series.
