Feds increase reward to $20K for man accused of threatening to shoot Trump

The Feds have increased the reward leading to the arrest of Shawn Christy, accused of threatening to shoot President Trump.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Federal officials have a new lead in the case of a man accused of threatening to shoot President Donald Trump, other elected officials and Adair County native and Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer.

The green Jeep Cherokee that Shawn Christy is accused of stealing from the Adair County home of Dakota Meyer’s brother was found Saturday in Nitro, West Virginia.

U.S. Marshalls said Christy was spotted sleeping in a vehicle Sunday in Cumberland, West Virginia.

They believe Christy is now traveling in a red 1997 GMC 1500 Sierra with Pennsylvania tags ZGL-2845.

They say the truck is low on gas, has a ladder rack and a damaged bed.

Christy is considered armed and dangerous and if you spot him call 911 or the FBI at (215) 418-4000.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
