LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- A special committee on the board of directors at Papa John's is looking to quickly make changes at the company.

The committee has approved and directed the company to terminate John Schnatter's founder agreement and terminate a sublease agreement that allowed Schnatter to use office space at the headquarters in Louisville.

Those with the company are asking Schnatter to stop all media appearances and not to make any further comments to the company.

This all comes after company CEO Steve Ritchie apologized to the community after Schnatter admitted to using the n-word during a conference call.
