LMPD asking for help to solve 2017 case

The Louisville Metro Police Department is releasing never before seen body camera footage and hopes the public can help them in this 2017 case.

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- LMPD detectives are asking for your help and releasing never before seen body camera footage in hopes someone who knows something will see it.

The video was taken in the Bashford Manor neighborhood,on June 21 in 2017.

LMPD Officer Brad Shouse was responding to a report of a suspicious person. The officer started to approach someone who matched the description of the suspicious person and the man started to run.

During the chase, police said the suspect fired his weapon, hitting Officer Shouse in the foot.

Police have questioned persons of interest in the case but no arrests have been made.
