(LBF) -- Is there a better day to open a Champagne bar than the summer solstice?

There isn't, according to Charlotte Stengel, who owns The Champagnery on Frankfort Avenue with her husband, Brad Stengel and her nephew, Eric Wentworth.

The bubble-centric bar opens today at 1764 Frankfort Ave. in Clifton, which is also the home of Stengel's Architype Gallery. Stengel hopes the two businesses will work together to create an art lounge and bubbly oasis, she told Louisville Business First in January.

Along with art shows and handmade bags, The Champagnery at Architype Gallery will offer more than 120 Champagnes and sparkling wines from around the world, as well as a full bar with bourbon, craft beers and cocktails. The Champagnery also will offer a menu of light bites, including plates of oysters, caviar, charcuterie, cheeses, fruit and desserts.
