LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A teenager is dead following a crash in Jennings County, Indiana, according to Indiana State Police.
Police say the two-vehicle crash happened on US 50 near County Road 450 West just before 8 a.m. Saturday.
The victim, identified as 17-year-old Morgan Gibson, was traveling westbound on US 50 near County Road 450 West when her vehicle crossed the center line into the path of a Chevy Malibu headed eastbound. That driver’s vehicle struck the passenger side of Gibson’s vehicle.
Police say Gibson’s injuries were fatal and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say icy conditions may have been a factor in the crash as frozen precipitation was falling at that time.
They say alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the crash.
