LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LBF) -- Dundee Candy Shop on Bardstown Road is strewn with chocolate Easter bunnies, peanut-butter-filled eggs and baby blue, pinks green and yellows — all the makings of a normal Easter at the shop.

But this Easter will be the shop's last.

As much as she loves selling candy to Louisvillians, Maria Moore said she doesn't want to be 70 and still working. She decided that when her lease expires in April, she will close the candy shop at 2112 Bardstown Road.

"Rather than committing to another three or five years, I thought that it's time to go," Moore said.

Moore, 66, said she wants to make sure everyone knows that the store will be open for business as usual through the Easter season, though. Two days after Easter, on April 3, Moore will start a liquidation/going out of business sale. The last day for business will be April 20.
