Winter weather, paired with the severe flu season, has led to a shortage of donors, so the American Red Cross is asking you to roll up your sleeves - literally - and help save a life.

There are plenty of opportunities in the metro area over the next week where you can donate blood. You can download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make an appointment or for more information.
